About Next Gen Fluent

Preparing kids for the future of technology—without losing what makes learning human.

Next Gen Fluent is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to AI literacy and future-ready digital skills for children from middle- and working-class communities. We believe that emerging technologies should empower curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking—not deepen existing gaps in education.

Why This Matters

The world our children are inheriting will be shaped by artificial intelligence—whether we prepare them or not

AI is no longer an emerging technology. It is rapidly becoming the infrastructure behind how we work, communicate, create, and make decisions

The question facing this generation is not whether they will use AI

The question facing this generation is not whether they will use AI

It is whether they will grow up understanding it, guiding it, and thinking alongside it—or quietly surrendering their agency to it

Protecting children from the tools shaping their world is not protection.

It is neglect.

And a future dominated by technology but disconnected from humanity is not progress.

Our Mission

Next Gen Fluent was created to meet this moment. Our mission is to help raise a generation of young people who can engage with artificial intelligence thoughtfully, critically, and creatively—without losing the human capacities that drive innovation in the first place: curiosity, emotional intelligence, imagination, ethical reasoning, and real-world connection.

True preparation means equipping students not only with technical literacy, but with the discernment, creativity, and self-trust to use powerful tools without being defined by them.

Next Gen Fluent exists to build that foundation.

What That Looks Like in Practice

We support programs that integrate AI literacy with critical thinking, outdoor learning, creativity, and human-centered problem solving—ensuring that the next generation doesn’t just adapt to the future, but actively shapes it.

Because the future will not be built by technology alone.

It will be built by the humans who learn how to guide it.

If you’re interested in supporting, partnering, or bringing Next Gen Fluent into schools or communities, we’d love to start that conversation

Our Approach

Human-Centered Learning

We teach AI as a tool for exploration and creativity—not automation for its own sake. Critical thinking and ethical awareness are embedded into everything we do.

Access Over Assumptions

Our programs are designed for real families and real classrooms—not idealized systems. We prioritize clarity, affordability, and practical use

Responsible Innovation

We take seriously the responsibility of introducing emerging technologies to children. Safeguarding, transparency, and community trust guide our decisions
